Big Bed
03:52
|
|||
I was dreaming, it was a bright and sunny day
And we were walkin', holding hands down by the bay
But I know, it's all a dream to me now
'Cause I'm just lying here in my big bed all by myself
Well I was hopin', you'd come home to my place
So me and you can share the same space
But I know, it's all a dream to me now
'Cause I'm just lying here in my big bed all by myself
(Mandolin Solo)
But I know, it's all a dream to me now
'Cause I'm just lying here in my big bed all by myself
But I know, it's all a dream to me now
'Cause I'm just lying here in my big bed all by myself
I was drivin', driving over to see you
Just to hang around, and see those crazy little things you do
But I know, it's all a dream to me now
'Cause I'm just lying here in my big bed all by myself
'Cause I'm just lying here in my big bed all by myself
'Cause I'm just lying here in my big bed...

Down By The Sea
03:42
|
|||
We have roamed so far away
When I look back, I don’t know what to say
So take my hand, and come with me
Where the moon shines down on the sea
It’s a place that I go where I can call home
A little village down by the sea
It's where I belong, where I can sing my song
That little village down by the sea
We're just one big happy family
Follow me down, we're going home
I've covered my dreams, and now I roam
Now my search has brought me home
Some days are diamonds, some days are stones
It’s a place that I go, where I can call home
A little village down by the sea
It's where I belong, where I can sing my song
A little village down by the sea
We're just one big happy family
(Mandolin & Fiddle Solo)
It’s a place that I go where I can call home
A little village down by the sea
It's where I belong, where I can sing my song
A little village down by the sea
We're just one big happy family
We're just one big happy family
We're just one big Island family

La Ditty Da
03:45
|
|||
Looking back on life I'm thinkin' bout you now
Where did you go, what did you do
Did you get high somehow
Well I been lookin' for you, searchin' high and low
Last time I seen ya, you were headin' for the door
And you said 'Never look back', so I tried to let it go
Now I'm thinkin' bout you too much, it's hurtin' on my soul
And you said 'La, La Ditty Da', and you say 'La, La Ditty Da'
Well on the day you left I really didn’t care
I stayed out late that night and drank a case of beer
I said the best for you, but I had my fingers crossed
Deep in my heart well I was hopin' you'd be lost
And you said 'Never look back', so I tried to let it go
Now I'm thinkin' bout you too much, it's hurtin' on my soul
And you said 'La, La Ditty Da', and you say 'La, La Ditty Da'
(Fiddle Solo)
Turn on the radio and hear our favourite song
I lay awake at night and wonder what went wrong
And when I think of you it feels like yesterday
Well ain't it funny how the time just slips away
And you said 'Never look back', so I tried to let it go
Now I'm thinkin' bout you too much, it's hurtin' on my soul
And you said 'La, La Ditty Da', and you said 'La, La Ditty Da'

All Alone
03:12
|
|||
Here I go, once again ridin' down that lonesome highway
All alone, I'm just lookin' for a friend
(Yah) where'd they go, I don't know
I been searchin' high and low, all alone on a highway at the end
Fly so high across the sea for all the world to be
(Yah) all alone I just had to find a way
I found some friends in München, they put me in the can
(Yah) all alone I had to pay to get away
(Fiddle & Mandolin Solo)
So here I go, once again ridin' down that lonesome highway
All alone, I'm just lookin' for a friend
Where'd they go, I don't know
I been searchin' high and low, all alone on a highway at the end
Here I go, once again ridin' down that lonesome highway
All alone, I'm just lookin' for a friend
Where'd they go, I don't know
I been searchin' high and low, all alone on a highway at the end
(Yah) all alone on a highway at the end
(Yah) all alone on a highway at the end

I Swear
03:10
|
|||
Well have you seen the lights of Graceland?
It was the calling of the night, but I swear that I saw Elvis
At a truck stop late last night, he was old and grey and lonely
And his rhinestones didn’t shine, but to me he was the only,
The King to rule throughout my time
And I rode into Texas, the Austin City line
And I swear that I saw Stevie
In a bar room playin' slide, he was old and grey and only
Playing for some beer and wine but to me he was the only
The guitar player of our time
Now I'm hangin' 'round in Nashville, Grand Ole Opry on my mind
And I swear that I saw Hank there, with Jr. by his side
He looked just like a cowboy, kinda drunk and hollow eyed
But to me that’s where it started, Grand Old Opry, Nashville guitar on my mind

Change
03:02
|
|||
I need some change in my heart, please set me free
The only thing left now are these memories
You pulled my heart right from my soul
Left me hangin' like a heartless fool
I need some change in my heart, please set me free
But now I wear my heart upon my sleeve
I patched my soul (patched up my soul)
I'm just tryin' to be real
I need some change in my heart, please set me free
You know life's being written like a song
The only thing we do is sing along
We're just like actors on a stage
Wouldn’t happen any other way
I need some change in my heart, please set me free
Well now I wear my heart on my sleeve
I patched my soul (patched up my soul)
I'm just tryin' to be real
I need some change in my heart, please set me free
You know life's being written like a song
The only thing we do is sing along
We're just like actors on a stage
Wouldn’t happen any other way
I need some change in my heart, please set me free
But now I wear my heart upon my sleeve
I patched my soul (patched up my soul)
I'm just tryin' to be real
I need some change in my heart, please set me free
I need some change in my heart, please set me free
I need some change in my heart, please set me free

A House In The Country
03:30
|
|||
Was just a night on the front porch
We were drinkin' rum and beer
And hometown country music, it filled the night air
We talked about the good times then we gave the dogs bones
It's just a house in the country with a front porch BBQ
It's just a house in the country where we all go to sing
It use to be a school house, where they taught you everything
It's in the middle of a cornfield, by the long and windy road
It's just a house in the country with a front porch BBQ
(You know that old school house was built at the turn of the century. In the middle of a cornfield where it
served the community well. It was after the war of 1812,
the school house was quarantined with the plague
it was mostly children of the royal empire loyalists,
who to this day are still buried in the back)
It's just a house in the country with a front porch BBQ
Yah we sat on the porch swing, we talked about the moon
The dogs were in the cornfield, they were barkin' at a 'coon
Just good friends all together, singing them good time blues
It's just a house in the country with a front porch BBQ
Just a house in the country where we all go to sing
It use to be the school house, where they taught you everything
It was in the middle of a cornfield, by the long and windy road
It's just a house in the country with a front porch BBQ

Should I Stay
02:51
|
|||
I think I see a light shinin' down on me
But I don’t know if I can make it on my own
Could this be the life that’s set out for me
Well I won't know until I get to where I'm going
Cause all I really know is where I've been
I've seen a lot of good times, seen a lot of pain
But now I stand here looking down this empty road
Should I stay or should I go
(Fiddle solo)
Cause all I really know is where I've been
I've seen a lot of good times, seen a lot of pain
Now I stand look here lookin' down this empty road
Should I stay or should I go
If I stay, somethings'll never change
Well you know I've seen the writings on the wall
If I go, I know one think for sure
Gonna hang my head, gonna leave my heart behind
Cause all I really know is where I've been
I've seen a lot of good times
Seen a lot of pain
Now I stand look here lookin' down this empty road
Should I stay or should I go
Should I stay or should I go

Do It For Love
02:40
|
|||
I don’t do it for the money, I do it for love
I've got a crazy little feelin' inside and I gotta get it out
So move on over please stand aside
I got a little somethin' that’s from deep inside
I don’t do it for the money, I do it for love
I play my guitar, makes some folks shout
Well I bend some strings and slide a cord
It makes an old girl dance and scream for more
I don’t do it for the money, I do it for love
(Fiddle solo)
So when I sing my song it makes folks cry
Cause them sad old songs kinda hit yah like an onion in the eye
So move on over please stand aside
I got a little somethin' that’s from deep inside
I don’t do it for the money, I do it for love
I don’t do it for the money, I do it for love
I don’t do It for the money, I do it for love

Dirt Road
04:22
|
|||
It was a dirt road in the country
Through the cornfield behind the farm
I grew up back there
And I learned to care, I learned to hold my own
There was a pond back there where I learned to swim
And I learned about a fishing pole
I met a girl back there and I learned to swear
And I swear she was the only one
So take me back home, back to the place that I use to roam
Back to see my old friends and back to see the old dirt road
Well down that dirt road there's a cross road
That's where I learned to play guitar it was our meeting point
That’s where I smoked my first joint that's where I drove my first car
It was my first cigarette, it was the place that you left me
That's where you first broke my heart it was the back road to town
It's how I'd get around and you know I like to get around
Yah take me back home, back to the place that I use to roam
Back to see my old friends and back to see the old dirt road
(Mandolin solo)
Well now that dirt road it’s a highway it rolls right through the farm
There's no more pond back there, there's no more friends back there
It's just a whole lotta cars it still the back road to town
It's still how I get around but it just don’t hold a piece of my heart
Like that old dirt road did when I was a kid
Yah you know I love that old dirt road
Take me back home, back to the place that I use to roam
Back to see my old friends and back to see the old dirt road
Ya take me back home, back to the place that I use to roam
Back to see my old friends and back to see the old dirt road
Take me back home, back to the place that I use to roam
Back to see my old friends and back to see the old dirt road
Take me back home, back to the place that I use to roam
Back to see my old friends and back to see the old dirt road
